Production Supervisor - 1st shift / Bilingual (English - Spanish)

General Job Description

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the operation of the production department. The duties of this position are those described below.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating all efforts of subordinate supervisory staff.
  • Follow and direct GMP’s and Safety standards at all times.
  • Follow and direct company regulations.
  • Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
  • Must possess some computer skills.
  • Must possess sufficient management skill / experience.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
  • Responsible for generating production reports as required
  • Assures that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures as well as regulatory agency procedures.
  • Assures that all department personnel are informed of any departmental procedural changes as necessary.
  • Attends staff meeting as required.
  • Coordinates the activities of the maintenance department and assures that the equipment is running adequately.
  • Monitors department to maintain a safe work environment for the department.
  • Assures all shifts are provided adequate training.
  • Conduct meetings with Supervisors as well as conducting departmental meetings regarding procedures.
  • Teach and train personnel as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • College degree (desired)

Experience:

  • Technical experience in processing or packaging of products.
