Quality Control Supervisor

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality control team, ensuring that products meet all required quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will manage inspections, testing, and audits to ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality requirements. The QC Supervisor will work closely with other departments to improve processes, resolve issues, and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across production.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the QC team to ensure effective performance and quality control.
  • Ensure that all products and processes meet internal and external quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and federal regulations.
  • Manage the documentation and reporting of quality control data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Lead and mentor the QC team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to assess compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Identify and investigate quality issues and work with the relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality control issues and improve processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics to management.
  • Assist in the development and execution of quality control strategies for new products or processes.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
